Daegu Meister High School has become the first high school in Korea to introduce a semiconductor manufacturing process class utilizing an XR (Extended Reality) platform into its regular curriculum. Scheduled to run for one semester, this semiconductor education incorporating XR technology is expected to enhance students’ interest and understanding by providing a hands-on, real-world experience.
Last week, MeshLink CTO Yong-seon Kang visited the school in person to conduct a training program for faculty and staff. During the session, guidance was provided on educational methods to help students understand semiconductor processes more easily, as well as content elements that pique their interest.
In particular, this training was conducted with the participation of all faculty and staff, including the principal and vice-principal, who directly experienced the XR platform, and received positive evaluations regarding the platform’s potential for actual educational application.
An official from Daegu Meister High School stated, “This is the first time in Korea that semiconductor manufacturing process education using XR is being operated as a regular curriculum at the high school level,” adding, “We will continue to provide an educational environment where students can experience future industries in advance.”
