(Seoul = Open News Communication) Reporter Choi Ji-hye = The World Vocational Competency Exchange Association (WVCEA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for mutual cooperation with Kyrgyz National University in Kyrgyzstan on the 28th (local time).
This agreement was initiated following a meeting between WVCEA Chairman Seo Jeong-wook and Kyrgyz National University Vice Rector Sydykova Gulbara Bekturganovna last March. Both institutions agreed to expand mutual cooperation in various fields, including education, science, and culture.
Kyrgyz National University is the premier university in Kyrgyzstan and boasts a long tradition in scientific fields, including the Department of Korean Language, the Department of Electronics and Nanoelectronics, and the Faculty of Physical Electronics. In particular, the university is training specialized personnel in the fields of electronics and nanoelectronics, such as semiconductor physics and quantum electronics.
The scope of cooperation includes the exchange of students and educational experiences, the development of joint research and educational programs, the joint hosting of academic events, and mutual promotion. The signing of this MOU was conducted via online video conference, and WVCEA executives plan to discuss further cooperation in line with the local market research schedule coming up in June and July.
In the process of promoting the MOU, local support from DK Consulting and FIESTA, as well as the support of WVCEA IT Business Group Director Ha Jin-soo, played a significant role. Director Ha is also the CEO of Meshlink Co., Ltd., which developed the XR semiconductor production training program.
Meshlink Co., Ltd. has decided to provide an XR semiconductor production training program free of charge to Kyrgyz National University in cooperation with WVCEA. WVCEA is currently pursuing a project to provide training programs free of charge to one country, one city, and one educational institution through the ‘111 Project’.
Chairman Seo Jeong-wook stated, “We are building diverse educational infrastructures through cooperation with Kyrgyz National University and will contribute to the entry of SMEs into overseas markets and the expansion of global networks.”
CHONTOEV Dogdurbek Toktosartovich, Rector of Kyrgyz National University, stated, “The semiconductor education programs and global infrastructure provided by WVCEA will be of great help to the development of the university,” adding, “I look forward to expanding cooperation in various fields, such as international competitions, export consultations, and cultural festivals.”
WVCEA is currently conducting the ‘111 Project’ in Vietnam and Thailand as well, supporting the overseas expansion of Korean SMEs through its IT, Education, and Culture Business Units.
