On September 12, 2025, the Postal and Telecommunications Technology Research Institute (PTIT) – First Department of Electronic Engineering at the Hadong Campus solemnly held the opening ceremony for the XR Semiconductor Technology Practical Research Institute. This is an important milestone in meeting the requirements of the national strategy for the development of the semiconductor industry and realizing the Academy’s development direction to become a center for training high-quality human resources.
Associate Professors attended the event. Dr. Dang Hoai Bac, Academy Director, Ph.D. Yong-Sun Kang, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Meshlink Company, representatives of Academy unit leaders, and companies accompanying many students.

Director Associate Professor Dr. Dang Hoai Bac, Meshlink CEO Dr. Yong Seon Kang, and Department of Electronic Engineering Representative Dr. Mai Thi Nghia cut the ribbon to open the Semiconductor IC Technology Virtual Lab.
At the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Dang Hoai Bac stated, “Today’s opening of the XR Lab marks not only the launch of a modern laboratory but also confirms PTIT’s role in fostering semiconductor talent. PTIT identifies semiconductors as a strategic sector requiring systematic and continuous investment and works closely with enterprises to cultivate a generation of globally competent engineers ready to participate in the high-tech supply chain.” The Academy President further asserted, “PTIT will contribute to the realization of the national goal of becoming a regional semiconductor manufacturing center by continuously expanding international cooperation, updating the latest technologies, and establishing interdisciplinary educational programs to provide academic knowledge related to production practices.”

Donkey. Dr. Dang Hoai Bac gave a speech at the opening ceremony of the Virtual Lab for Semiconductor IC Technology.
The XR Lab is an open “knowledge playground” that helps students access the latest XR technology, practice IC manufacturing processes, and bridge the gap between the classroom and research and production environments. Immediately following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, students were able to experience XR technology firsthand under the guidance of Meshlink experts, creating an exciting atmosphere that fostered learning and creativity. In a pledge to partner with the company , Dr. Yong-Sun Kang, CEO of Meshlink Company, announced a commitment to provide cutting-edge XR technology platforms and solutions in collaboration with PTIT, enabling students to learn and practice in an international standard environment.
A Promise to Partner with Companies : Dr. Yong-Sun Kang, CEO of Meshlink Company, announced a commitment to provide advanced XR technology platforms and solutions in partnership with PTIT, enabling students to learn and practice in an international standard environment.

TS. Yong-Seon Kang, Technical Director at Meshlink Company, is doing his best to accompany PTIT in semiconductor technology education.
The opening ceremony of the XR Lab concluded with applause and joyful smiles from instructors, particularly engineering students, and general PTIT students, and opened a new chapter in the academy’s journey of development. Through the XR Lab, PTIT is progressively building a “comprehensive semiconductor education ecosystem.” Here, students can study and research in a modern environment, access IC manufacturing processes according to international standards, and confidently integrate into the global semiconductor industry. They will have the opportunity to realize their research projects and high-tech startup ideas.
Today’s event is also a step toward PTIT continuing to solidify its position as one of the five core higher education institutions of the National Semiconductor Training Alliance, which will continue to play a pioneering role in providing high-quality human resources alongside the national semiconductor industry development strategy.
