Accelerating the expansion of semiconductor education hubs in Southeast Asia
Meshlink (CEO Ha Jin-su), an XR (Extended Reality)-based semiconductor education platform company, is expanding into the global education market by collaborating with major engineering universities in Thailand.
Meshlink announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL) in Bangkok, Thailand, and will introduce its XR platform, ‘Faraday XR S1,’ into the regular curriculum.

Through this agreement, KMITL plans to fully operate practical training in semiconductor manufacturing processes based on an XR environment. This marks the first establishment of an XR-based semiconductor education system in Thailand and is highly significant in that it moves away from existing theory-centered education and establishes a practice-oriented educational infrastructure similar to actual industrial environments.
In particular, this collaboration was pursued amidst the global trend of expanding innovation in semiconductor education utilizing XR technology. Domestically, examples of practice-oriented educational innovation are continuing, such as Dong-A University adopting Meshlink’s ‘Faraday XR’ and applying it to its Department of Semiconductor Engineering and extracurricular courses.
KMITL faculty and key officials attended the local event held to commemorate the signing of the MOU, and representatives from KUMWELL, which operates the Faraday XR experience center in Thailand, and SKIT, LIG Thailand’s partner, also participated to confirm the potential for expanding the cooperation network.
KMITL adopted Faraday XR based on high demand for industry-linked education and a commitment to introducing advanced educational methods. In particular, the faculty underwent an active preliminary review process, including examining application cases in Vietnam, visiting Korea in person to experience the XR platform, and discussing ways to apply it to education.
‘Faraday XR S1’ is an XR platform specialized for semiconductor front-end training, characterized by its ability to allow learners to operate actual equipment and experience process changes in a virtual environment. Designed based on industrial data, it is highly regarded for its capacity to enhance practical skills alongside education.
CEO Ha Jin-soo stated, “This agreement marks a significant turning point in accelerating the global expansion of semiconductor education utilizing XR technology,” adding, “We will establish ourselves as a platform connecting education and industry, focusing on the Southeast Asian market.” He further emphasized, “Meshlink will contribute to fostering semiconductor talent capable of immediate deployment in the field through educational solutions that reflect actual industrial environments.”
Building on this collaboration, Meshlink plans to expand the application of its XR platform beyond university education to include customized corporate training and joint research. The industry anticipates that this initiative will serve as a catalyst for transforming semiconductor workforce training methods in Southeast Asia.
